Join Marquee in the Fight Against Blood Cancer

At Marquee at Block 27, we’re more than just a community; we’re a family committed to making a positive impact both within our walls and beyond. That’s why we’re excited to continue our annual partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in the fight for a cure to blood cancer during their annual Light the Night campaign.

What is Light the Night?

Light the Night is a meaningful event dedicated to celebrating, honoring, and remembering those affected by blood cancers. This inspiring evening unites communities across the nation, with participants carrying glowing lanterns—white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold in memory of loved ones lost.

It’s a powerful symbol of hope, support, and solidarity. It’s rare to get an opportunity to attend such an impactful event as this – right in your city!

About LLS

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is at the forefront of the battle against blood cancers. They fund crucial research, provide support for patients and families, and advocate for policies that improve access to care.

By partnering with LLS, Marquee helps drive advancements in life-saving treatments and bring hope to many facing these challenging conditions.

Join Us for Light the Night Walk in Chicago

This year, the Light the Night Walk in Chicago will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Soldier Field. As the evening unfolds, Marquee will be there, lanterns in hand, walking together to support this vital cause.

We will also be raising funds and awareness directly within our community. The Marquee Family stands together – from service technician, resident, and leasing team – we are committed to supporting LLS together.

How to Get Involved

We invite all Marquee residents to join our team and contribute to this meaningful event. Here’s how you can participate:

- Sign Up: Joining our team is simple! Visit our team page and register to walk with us.

Friends and family are always welcome to join! Plus, if your friends and family live in a different city, they can participate in their own Light the Night Walk.  LLS has walks across the nation taking place in fall 2024, and they even hold a virtual event for those without a local event.

- Fundraise: Every contribution counts. Set up your own fundraising page or share our team’s page with your network. Your support can make a significant impact!

- Spread the Word: Help raise awareness by sharing your involvement on social media, talking to your neighbors, and encouraging others to participate.  You can change lives, one conversation at a time.

Why It Matters

Participating in Light the Night is more than just a walk—it’s about coming together as a community to support those in need. It’s a chance to show our solidarity and demonstrate that, as a community, we care deeply about making a difference.

So, Marquee residents, let’s light up the night and make this year’s Light the Night Walk a memorable one. Together, we can shine a beacon of hope for all those affected by blood cancers.
